REPLICA MOTORCYCLES

VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE AND SIDE CAR

jumping-offThe producers of the movie ‘Last Rites of Ransom Pride’ needed a 1909 Harley Davidson motorbike with a sidecar for one of the characters in the film. Although one had been located in a museum, it couldn’t be used because the script called for a dramatic crash that would likely destroy or damage the artifact. Therefore, they needed a bike they could crash and then repair to shoot the beginning of the movie!

With only two weeks to build the replica, Leycraft powered into the project and managed to complete it, on set, with almost a hour to spare! The filming and the crash stunt went well and though promised six days to repair the damage, the bike was ready shoot again twenty minutes after the impact! It has been giving faithful service ever since, being used in many parades, gatherings and family picnics! .
